River Street, City Market, and the waterfront are all within a short walk, and Forsyth Park is an easy stroll south through the city’s famous tree-lined squares. It’s hard to imagine a better base for exploring Savannah on foot.

The Southern fried French toast is the standout — a decadent, properly indulgent way to start a Savannah morning.
