The Property
The Hilton Mexico City Reforma is a modern high-rise tower that contrasts with the surrounding colonial architecture of the Centro Histórico. The lobby is contemporary and sleek with high ceilings, modern art, and warm lighting. The property features multiple swimming pools (including a rooftop pool with city views), a well-equipped gym, and a spa. The hotel caters to both business and leisure travelers, with excellent meeting facilities alongside the leisure amenities.
Check-In
Check-in is efficient and the staff is bilingual (English/Spanish). Diamond members receive consistent recognition — upgrades to executive floors or suites are common, and the welcome amenity is thoughtful. The concierge team provides excellent guidance for navigating Mexico City’s vast dining and cultural scene.
Executive King
The Executive King room is spacious and modern with floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light. Higher floors offer stunning views of either Alameda Central park and the Bellas Artes dome, or the sprawling Mexico City skyline stretching toward the surrounding mountains on clear days. The king bed is comfortable, and the room includes a work desk, comfortable armchair, minibar, and Nespresso machine. Executive floor guests receive access to the Executive Lounge with complimentary breakfast and evening cocktails.
Bathroom
The bathroom is well-designed with a walk-in rain shower, single vanity with ample counter space, and quality Hilton-branded amenities. The finishes are modern and clean. Functional rather than luxurious, but well-maintained and perfectly adequate for the property’s positioning.
Views
Request a park-facing room on a higher floor. The view of Alameda Central’s tree canopy with the ornate Bellas Artes building as the centerpiece is one of the best hotel views in Mexico City. On clear mornings, you can spot the snow-capped volcanoes Popocatépetl and Iztaccíhuatl in the distance.
Restaurants & Bars
El Portillo (Breakfast)
The main restaurant serves a generous breakfast buffet featuring both Mexican and international options. The chilaquiles and fresh-squeezed juices are highlights, and the made-to-order omelette station is reliably good. The breakfast spread is a strong point for Diamond members enjoying complimentary benefits.
Blossom
A rooftop bar and lounge with panoramic city views, craft cocktails, and a menu of elevated bar bites. The mezcal cocktail selection is particularly impressive. An excellent spot for sunset drinks with the Bellas Artes dome glowing in the evening light.
Bottom Line
The Hilton Mexico City Reforma is a well-executed urban Hilton in one of the best locations in Mexico City. The proximity to Alameda Central, Bellas Artes, and the Centro Histórico makes it an ideal base for first-time visitors. The rooms are modern and comfortable, the views from higher floors are memorable, and the rooftop pool and bar add genuine lifestyle appeal. Mexico City is one of the world’s most exciting food cities, and this hotel puts you within striking distance of incredible restaurants in every direction.

Cash rates at the Hilton Mexico City Reforma average $120-$220/night — outstanding value for a centrally located luxury hotel in a major global city. Points redemptions run approximately 40,000-60,000 Hilton Honors points per night. At an average cash rate of $170, a 50,000-point redemption yields approximately 0.34 cents per point — below the 0.4cpp threshold. Like Hanoi, the cash rates here are so reasonable that paying cash often makes more sense than burning points, especially given the favorable exchange rate.
