The Property
With 116 studios and one-bedroom apartments, this Hyatt House feels more like a contemporary apartment building than a typical hotel. The lobby is compact but modern, with clean lines and a welcoming atmosphere. A small gym, garden terrace, and the Laureate Restaurant round out the public spaces. The university campus setting is unusual for a hotel — it’s quiet, leafy, and a pleasant surprise compared to the bustle of the city center.
Check-In
Check-in was efficient and the staff were warm and helpful. The reception area is small, so it could get crowded during peak times, but my experience was smooth. World of Hyatt status was recognized without issue.
King Studio
The King Studio features floor-to-ceiling windows that flood the space with natural light. The fully equipped kitchen includes a Nespresso machine, cooktop, microwave, full-size fridge, and dishwasher — everything you need for self-catering. A dining table and chairs, comfortable sofa bed in the living area, and a 43-inch smart TV complete the setup. The bed was excellent with quality linens. For Manchester, where extended stays are common for business travelers, this format works brilliantly.
Bathroom
The bathroom features a full bathtub with overhead shower, modern fixtures, and good water pressure. Pharmacopia amenities are provided. The space is well-designed with adequate storage and a large mirror with integrated lighting.

Complimentary breakfast is served at The Laureate and was genuinely impressive — a full English option alongside continental selections, fresh pastries, and quality coffee. For a Hyatt House breakfast, this was above average, with items clearly freshly prepared rather than sitting on a buffet line.
