The hotel provides a complimentary airport shuttle, which is essential since the surrounding area is car-dependent office parks and chain restaurants. Downtown Tampa and Ybor City are about 15 minutes by car; the beaches of Clearwater and St. Pete are 30–40 minutes west.
The Property
This is a relatively new-build property with 145 rooms, and it shows — everything feels fresh and modern. The lobby is bright and open, with the H Bar anchoring the social space. A heated outdoor pool (welcome in Florida’s mild winters), a 24-hour fitness center, and outdoor terrace with seating provide good common areas. The hotel is pet-friendly, welcoming up to two dogs per room.
Check-In
Check-in was straightforward and quick. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable about the shuttle schedule. World of Hyatt members will find their status recognized here, though upgrade opportunities are limited given the suite-heavy room inventory.
King Suite
The King Suite offers a separate living area with a sofa bed, a work desk, and the signature Hyatt House kitchen: full-size refrigerator, cooktop, microwave, dishwasher, and all necessary cookware and utensils. The bedroom features a comfortable king bed and blackout curtains. The room is clean, modern, and functional — exactly what you want for a multi-night airport-area stay. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable throughout.
Bathroom
A standard but clean bathroom with a walk-in shower, single vanity, and Pharmacopia bath products. Good water pressure and adequate lighting. Nothing special, but everything works as it should.
Restaurants & Bars
Complimentary Breakfast
The hot breakfast buffet includes scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, potatoes, waffles, fresh fruit, yogurt, and pastries. Standard Hyatt House fare — generous and satisfying, if predictable. The coffee was decent.
H Bar
The lobby bar offers cocktails, local craft beers, and a small food menu. A pleasant spot for an evening drink before retiring to your suite.
