Location
The Moxy Tbilisi is located on Tamar Mepe Avenue in central Tbilisi, within walking distance of the Old Town, the sulphur baths, the Bridge of Peace, and the vibrant Rustaveli Avenue shopping and cultural corridor. Tbilisi International Airport (TBS) is approximately 20 minutes by car.
The Property
The Moxy Tbilisi brings Marriott’s playful lifestyle brand to one of the Caucasus’s most vibrant cities. The lobby doubles as a social space with a bar, communal tables, foosball, and board games — typical Moxy energy. A rooftop bar with panoramic views of Tbilisi’s old town and the surrounding hills is the property’s highlight. The hotel is modern, clean, and unapologetically millennial in its design.
Check-In
Check-in happens at the lobby bar — you get a welcome cocktail instead of a traditional reception experience. The staff is young, friendly, and enthusiastic about sharing their city.
Standard Queen
The Standard Queen room is compact but cleverly designed in typical Moxy fashion — a comfortable bed, wall-mounted TV, pegboard storage system, USB charging everywhere, and a small work surface. The room is not where you will spend your time — Tbilisi’s streets, wine bars, and restaurants are the attraction. The room serves as a clean, comfortable, and affordable base for exploration.
Bathroom
The bathroom is compact with a walk-in shower, single vanity, and Moxy-branded amenities. Functional and modern. No bathtub.
Restaurants & Bars
Lobby Bar (Breakfast)
A casual breakfast is available in the lobby with pastries, fruit, yogurt, and coffee. Adequate, though Tbilisi’s bakeries and cafes offer far better options for those willing to step outside.
Rooftop Bar
The rooftop bar is the Moxy’s crown jewel — panoramic views of Narikala Fortress, the Old Town’s terracotta rooftops, and the Mtkvari River below. Local Georgian wines, craft cocktails, and Tbilisi’s legendary sunset make this an essential experience.
Bottom Line
The Moxy Tbilisi is the perfect hotel for the kind of traveler Tbilisi attracts — curious, adventurous, and value-conscious. The rooms are basic but the location is excellent, the rooftop bar is spectacular, and the price point is absurdly low for a Marriott property. Tbilisi is one of the world’s great travel bargains — incredible food, wine, architecture, and warmth — and the Moxy puts you in the center of it all.
Value
| Cash rate | $60–120 / night |
|---|---|
| Award cost | 15,000–25,000 |
| Implied cpp | 0.40¢ |
Cash rates average $60-$120/night — remarkable for a Marriott property. Bonvoy redemptions run 15,000-25,000 points/night. At $80 average, a 20,000-point redemption yields ~0.40cpp — below Marriott’s 0.5cpp threshold. Cash is the smarter play here given the ultra-low rates, but at these point levels it’s a reasonable use of off-peak awards. Book Moxy Tbilisi through Scott & Thomas
